@bbctms I had always taken it as sense to end play after a wicket in the final over but now the question has been asked it makes sense to send the next bat out as the bowling side have created the pressure and unable to capitalise on that pressure . Good question

@solentsport the year Maxwell played the Sarum league he came to Chalke Valley playing a cup game I went to watch but spent his whole innings in the hay field next to the ground searching for balls he’d hit out there, he was playing left handed to give our side a sporting chance

@theladyfarmer We get it out in the sticks as well, it’s awful when you see your flock terrified because of thoughtless ignorant dog owners, I’m mean ignorant as in they have no clues what their cuddly pet is really capable of.
