Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) inaugurated its new incubation facility at IT Park, Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, in the presence of Shri Jitin Prasada, Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Commerce & Industry, Government of India, along with Shri Pradeep Batra and Shri Ganesh Joshi, Hon’ble Cabinet Ministers, Government of Uttarakhand.

Spanning approximately 30,000 sq. ft., the new facility aims to strengthen Uttarakhand’s IT/ITeS ecosystem by supporting startups and technology enterprises through incubation infrastructure, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and product development, and creating employment opportunities in the region.

Inauguration of STPI Incubation Facility, Dehradun

Shri Jitin Prasada , Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics & IT, and Commerce & Industry, Government of India; Shri Ganesh Joshi, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Soldier Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand; and Shri Pradeep Batra , Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Transport, IT and Good Governance, Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Government of Uttarakhand, inaugurated the STPI Incubation Facility at Dehradun, Uttarakhand , in the gracious presence of Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI , and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, IT Secretary, Govt. of Uttarakhand. The occasion was marked by a plaque unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The state-of-the-art incubation facility features 30,000 sq. ft. of incubation infrastructure, Plug & Play seats, semi-furnished incubation space, conference and meeting rooms, an auditorium, a Network Operations Centre (NOC), and a cafeteria.

The facility aims to foster entrepreneurship, create employment opportunities and accelerate technology-led growth in Uttarakhand by supporting startups and IT/ITeS companies.

Shri Arvind Kumar (@arvindtw), Director General, STPI, as Guest of Honour at the 16th Annual Edition of India Entrepreneur 2026, shared his perspectives during the session “Policy to Progress: Building an Entrepreneur-Friendly India” on India’s evolving startup ecosystem, deep-tech innovation and emerging opportunities in the AI era.

Key highlights of the Shri Kumar's speech during the discussion are:
