This morning, history unfolds at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary as rhinos prepare for their journey to Ajai Wildlife Reserve. The sanctuary is alive with anticipation. Rangers, veterinarians, and wildlife experts have already assembled, briefing each other on every step of the translocation.

Tranquilizers, protective coverings for the rhinos’ eyes and ears, and all necessary substances to immobilize (dart) the rhinos are ready. To reduce stress and to ensure both the animals’ and people's safety and comfort.

Emergency wildlife rescue vans stand nearby, while each team member prepares for the delicate work ahead. Safety is paramount, and every detail has been considered carefull

The Rhino 🦏translocation was a success, from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, to Ajai Wildlife Reserve.
