" Si on pouvait regarder dans le cœur des gens
et comprendre les défis auxquels chacun fait face, on les traiterait sûrement avec beaucoup
plus de patience et de respect."
Fabien Sullivan Grandfils
Sometimes I wonder whether the world has really become harsher,
or whether technology has simply allowed us to witness things that were always happening somewhere beyond our sight.
Years ago, many of us would never have seen these images.
Today they appear on our screens within minutes.
I don’t know which is more difficult:
the reality itself,
or realizing how much of it was always there.
Some things are not easy to watch.
And some stay with you long after you’ve seen them.
Perhaps the value of seeing is not only to be shocked by it,
but to learn from it.
Because education is not only about knowledge.
It is also about understanding the consequences of our actions,
recognizing the humanity in others,
and making sure the same mistakes are not repeated again and again.
