Have you seen our Rainbow Whales? They were last seen in the Year 2 classroom at St Thomas of Canterbury School, Sheffield. They are really small and have rainbow coloured stripes. They have long horns and sharp teeth. If you see them, please call the school office.#findourwhales
What a fantastic trip we had yesterday. Thank you so much @TropButterfly we absolutely loved it. So much to see, so much to do so much to touch. Can’t wait to visit again #butterfly#snake#trip#year2
What a morning we have had in Year 2. We have been to Chester Zoo and seen all types of different animals. We also made a short trip to South Africa to see their landscape and some of their wildlife. We even managed to fit in some clay modelling. #year2#goodshepherd#virtualtour
We have been writing similes and some of the examples are fantastic:
The wind was like a laughing hyena giggling through the trees.
The shadows were like monsters creeping up on her.
The branches were like jellyfish stingers trying to grab her thin legs.

We have been doing some fantastic work in Computing. It was our first lesson on Spreadsheets and we created calculators and our own little farms. #computing#Year2#spreadsheets
Safer Internet Day has been a great success in Year 2 and across the school. We have had assemblies, lessons tasks and much more. What was fantastic to see was that our home learners participation and work was equally as strong as it was in class ☺️@UK_SIC#SaferInternetDay2021
Extremely proud of all our children learning remotely. They are working as hard as the normally do in class, if not harder. They have produced lots of excellent work under different and difficult circumstances. They really are the heroes of today😁 #hardwork#remotelearning
