Here I am talking, again, tirelessly about cheese…I’m starting to think I should negotiate a ‘per word’ fee before I do these things! But actually @jennylinford does an amazing job here of keeping me and putting me back on track! https://t.co/F8CcqiTUnO
Our first bbq of the year, down by our pond and wood with the family
Strickley Shorthorn steak, Anglum from @st_jamescheese (made with our milk) and local bacon.
And then, of course, the statutory toasted marshmallow🤩
May this kind of thing go on forever 💚
At a Conservative lunch everyone supported the Prime Minister’s promise to stop the small boats. When the guest speaker asked people to put up their hands if they thought he would deliver it no hand went up. Crucial the PM proves he can stop the boats soon.
@PaulFulford If the product is unusual or exceptional surely it’s needed to describe the dish accurately. If you use a farmer producing eggs from pasture or pigs fed acorns that would seem worth mentioning rather than ‘egg’, ‘pork’ I guess it depends how/why it’s done and how often?

Once more my (final) BPS payment is a fight because the concept of grazing under trees is somehow, still, difficult to grasp!
See that grass? It’s grazed! Often, just like all my other fields! (All my woods have been taken out, again)

@nina_pullman I believe it’s a sales campaign being put together by estate agents from Chipping Norton. Everyone who attends gets a Barbour jacket and a shoffel Gilet before they leave in their sponsored range rovers…
@MPGeorgeEustice really is the gift that keeps on giving, more dangerous than all the other out of touch MPs because he actually knows a little and professes to know a lot. The worse kind of politician.
So last night @MPGeorgeEustice told us at the @FarmersWeekly event that arable profits are flying high - we’re so much better off than we were in 2015. So can we test this- vote now arable farmers!!!!
Nope. Remove regulation and you end up with eye-watering costs of mass food-poisoning outbreaks, import of devastating livestock/crop diseases, and widespread food fraud.
@theladyfarmer@PaulWoldfarm Either they can afford not to come to work, or if they come to work they feel it’s not worth it as they’ll never be able to afford a house/reasonable place to live with pay and prices like they are?🤷🏻♂️
@st_jamescheese We're really sorry to hear about the experience you've had Martin. I can see that you've joined us in our DM's, a member of our team will be in contact with you shortly to help and get this sorted. Ray.
Help Kim and Small Food Bakery!
https://t.co/NGR4r4kDxe One of the most remarkable people met in my working life.Makes real that ‘think globally, act locally’ mantra. Kim & the bakery won best food producer in #bbcfoodawards when @andisn16 & I judged. SO deserved. Get well, Kim
Tell me why you’re leaving, “because the country is being run by inward looking, xenophobic fascists” so would you say the reason is immigration…?🤦🏻♂️
British people are having to think about emigrating because they are being squeezed out of their own country. Well done Conservatives.

@VodafoneUK Hey I’ve been totally unsatisfied with your customer service and spent a total of 2 hours on the phone and on hold today, I’ve been told I’ll have to wait a further 3 days for a customer relations manager to come back to me to resolve my dispute! Well done.
It’s a sunny day I’m outside, on hold waiting for Vodafone to explain why they tried to take over £2k from my account t when I haven’t spoken to them in 6 months and have never missed a payment… I’ll keep you posted just in case you’re considering them as a new service provider
@ajhommedeterre@HSBC_UK@VodafoneUK We’re arguing about wether my bank has the authority to change direct debits @DirectDebitUK could possibly shed some light on this as the majority of direct debits were swapped with no issue.
@ajhommedeterre@HSBC_UK Turns out it’s not even connected to that, (that’s my partners phone rectified last week! Another 1 hour 30 on hold) it’s because when I changed banks the automatic direct debit swap completed entirely by my bank wasn’t accepted by @VodafoneUK so they marked it as a non payment.
