Coaching isn’t about fixing teachers. It is about partnership. @SweeneyDiane it’s collaboration, questioning, conversation, listening, horizontal alignment with teacher, curriculum, students, coach #SCCoaching21
@btalonia If only the statement of”we were peaceful” was true. Families of police officers hosted a back the blue drive by that was peaceful. Then the other group showed up screaming f-the police into family vehicles, one kid crying they hate my dad. I’m sad this turned ugly.
@realScottPeters@AuroraRemember You said a single group. Gifted kids are all individuals with strengths and weaknesses so saying a single thing about gifted (your original post) is difficult. But if you link a trait to your original question (ie intellectually gifted) responses would be different.
@realScottPeters@AuroraRemember Gifted isn’t a group. It’s a trait. You can be gifted intellectually or physically. Or many other ways. This is why you read about gifted characteristics.
@spaikin@Dalton_McGuinty Increasing class size to save money is the worst move of all. Using money to give teachers a chance to work together on improved learning is what I had in mind.
#IL21C Considering and reflecting on our practice as educators is important. Opportunities to think, listen, consider new ideas, examine, and commit come from great days together in conferences like this! Thanks @alpineschools@realrobsmith6@SamJ_ASD @KimberlyBird22
Formative assessment is a process not a product! Involve the students in the process. They help build success criteria. #IL21C@bloomberg_paul#ImpactTeams
The amount, quality, and specificity of the tweets from UTAH from my presentation today are blowing me away. UTAH colleagues, you are sooo plugged in and ready to tackle and improve the future
Words all kids appreciate:
1. I love having you in my class.
2. Please & thank you.
3. I believe in you.
4. Here’s one thing you are good at.
5. When I was a kid I did that too.
