The student section of the ASME hosted Russell Feder from Brookhaven National Lab, @BrookhavenLab, last week. He is the Chief Mechanical Engineer on the sPHENIX detector project for the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. Great networking opportunities!

Check out the IEEE Student Club on campus. Hands on projects are the name of the game! Currently Superheterodyne radio receivers are being worked on with digital radio coming next. Software defined radio is another hot area of work in the the COE.
