Join us tomorrow as we present "Impact," an original work by playwright Amy Engelhardt ’87, at 7 p.m. in the Peter Graham Scholarly Commons, 114 Bird Library. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be available for this event.

This morning, the Remembrance and Lockerbie Scholars installed the 35 Empty Chairs exhibit on the Kenneth A. Shaw Quadrangle and 270 flags between the Schine Student Center and the Newhouse School. The scholars will sit in the chairs in solidarity beginning at noon tomorrow.

On this day in 1988, a bomb exploded in the cargo hold of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The explosion killed all 259 passengers, 35 of whom were students studying abroad through Syracuse University, and 11 residents of Lockerbie, Scotland.

Thirty-two years later, we continue to honor them. We tell their stories, learn their passions, and are inspired by their dreams to follow our own. We stay connected with their families and friends and educate our communities on who they were.
