@FairFight220299@DemzDeliver Wait a minute, so you’re telling me that if the police just don’t look for the murderers, then there is less murder? Holy cow you might be right, we should abolish police and prisons to get the murder rate down
@PoggiBankai@Stitapragn@TwtZey I mainly reject the idea that change and development having no grand point is a bad thing. You still develop and do the things you do because they matter to you and the people around you, not because you follow some vague cosmic directions for being a good person.
@PoggiBankai@Stitapragn@TwtZey I mean that’s essentially accomplished through reincarnation, it’s just detached from a singular entity at the center. A more impersonal and grounded way of experiencing anything and everything.
@PoggiBankai@Stitapragn@TwtZey But the you of today isn’t even the same as the “you” of a year ago or the “you” 10 years from now, both physically and psychologically. If you were to end up in eternal afterlife, would you still change? And if not, what version of you is expressed there?
@RaineyOvalle It’s not an intentional declaration of superiority, but it is kind of an automatic assertion based on the context. Developing a skill and ending up in a job with comparatively low skill requirements inherently draws a hierarchy between the positions, which is totally fine & fair.
