Exploring shadows in the autumn sunshine by drawing round them.. Once the sun went behind a cloud the children in reception crew still found away to draw each other. Later in the afternoon we compared the morning outlines to where are shadows fell then #EYFS #activelearning

"Formidable Friendship" was the theme of today's whole school assembly, led by @MathsBozz we really admired the courage of the friends in the story !@svpprimary @Andreacurran15

Lots of child led learning this week. Children have created the phone shop and made their own computers. This led to a visit to the stem room to investigate phones from the past, the addition to provision of some lap tops and blank registers for school role play. #eyfs #childled

Today we launched into our new text, ‘Saving Mr Hoot’, about Ben, a young boy, who becomes an environmental activist in order to save his owl friend when his home comes under threat. We loved the illustrations, painted using a stick @stephens_helen @LiteracyCounts1 #eyfs #mrhoot
