India Will Defend Itself From Terrorism

Calls for Global Zero Tolerance

At the 2025 Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Washington D.C., Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar delivered a pointed message, India will not tolerate terrorism, and neither should the world.

Calling for global “zero tolerance,” Jaishankar reminded his Quad counterparts that in the wake of recent terror attacks, India has both the right and the resolve to defend its people. “Victims and perpetrators must never be equated,�� he said, urging the international community to take a clear moral stand.

India’s position was unambiguous. National security is non-negotiable. And any global framework, Quad included must appreciate that India will exercise its right to self-defense. His comments appeared to signal not just policy, but intent.
