I am the Principal at Shepaug Valley School, part of the Region 12 School District. It's an incredibly special place for growth, teaching and learning.

David McCullough did have the great privilege to go to Yale as an undergrad and was inspired by writer-teachers such as Robert Penn Warren and Thornton Wilder, but he grew up in the Pittsburgh public schools.
