6月19日、ペルシャ湾に滞留していた日本関係船舶１隻が、ホルムズ海峡を無事通過し、ペルシャ湾外へ出て、日本へ向けて航行しています。
当該船舶には、３名の日本人乗組員が乗船しています。

この結果、日本人乗組員が乗船している日本関係船舶は全てペルシャ湾外へ退避したこととなります（事態発生当時は、日本人乗組員数は24名でした）。

今回の船舶通過にあたっても、政府は、イランとの間で様々な調整を行ってきました。

今般の米国・イラン間の覚書署名を受け、ホルムズ海峡における船舶の自由で安全な航行が速やかに再開し、残る37隻の日本関係船舶についても、ホルムズ海峡を一刻も早く通過できるよう、政府としてあらゆる外交努力を続けてまいります。

I truly understand how you feel…and that’s exactly why I chose to apologize publicly because the disrespect became public. On that call I didn’t even mean to call you that, I didn’t mean any harm.. There’s a difference in what I said vs what I meant. What I could have said was you was too forgiving and gave too much mercy in that situation..
