#WATCH | Delhi: On the alleged assault of a child attending a playschool, Psychotherapist & Life Coach, Pacific Onehealth, Dr Aastha Dewan says, "It is very unfortunate to hear about such cases, especially in the daycare... In the teacher hiring process, we need to understand that the teacher also has to be not just educated, but also in the right mental state. The mental health of people is really very disturbed at this point; if a teacher is disturbed, this will impact their behaviour in the school... Today we are not being very vigilant while hiring our teachers.... There are a lot of schools which do mental health programs for their teachers as well..."

At the 3rd CII Healthcare Summit 2026, the session “From Good to Great: Accelerating Delhi’s Health Systems Transformation” underscored that the next phase of Delhi’s healthcare journey must be driven by patient-centric care, policy reforms, technology adoption and integrated healthcare delivery.
The discussion highlighted the need to strengthen neighborhood healthcare through micro hospitals, improve trust and transparency in patient care, and create an enabling regulatory environment that supports innovation and expansion of healthcare services.
Panelists also emphasized that harnessing AI-enabled diagnostics, connected digital health ecosystems, operational excellence and collaborative public-private partnerships will be instrumental in improving accessibility, affordability and quality of healthcare. The session reinforced that transforming Delhi’s health system will require moving beyond infrastructure expansion towards a more connected, preventive and people-centric model of care.

At Pacific OneHealth, we asked ourselves a simple question: what do patients actually need when they walk through our doors? The answer wasn't just great doctors ..
From my #Sunday#diary dedicated to extraordinary ‘Healthcare #ChangeMakers’ in our country- #Bharat
“A Remarkable Full Circle Moment in Indian Oncology”
It is truly inspiring to witness the extraordinary comeback of Dr. Harit Chaturvedi as he joins the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals (my Alma mater too) is as Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Head – Oncology Network.
With decades of experience in multidisciplinary cancer care and a sharp focus on precision oncology, Dr. Chaturvedi’s leadership will undoubtedly elevate clinical excellence across the oncology ecosystem.
My first interaction with him left a lasting impression. He came across as a deeply humble, non-intrusive, and a true gentleman—both as a person and as a doctor. As an oncology surgeon, his singular focus was always his patients and his practice.
Over the years, I often engaged with him on how he could build his personal brand. Yet, his response never changed—
“My work is my only marketing.”
And remarkably, he has stood by this principle for nearly 40 years—an extraordinary feat in today’s world of constant self-promotion.
It is this very philosophy that has kept him at the pinnacle of cancer care in India. Today, he not only stands tall among the top cancer surgeons in the country but is also someone who commands unwavering trust—from patients, peers, and everyone who has had the privilege of interacting with him. His calm humility in dealing with a disease as aggressive as cancer is nothing short of exceptional.
What makes this moment even more powerful is the journey behind it. A man who, nearly 25 years ago, stepped away amidst challenging hospital politics, now returns to the very institution at its helm. This is not just a professional milestone—it is a testament to grit, grace, and grounded leadership.
Dr. Chaturvedi’s journey is a reminder that true excellence, integrity, and humility always find their rightful place.
India needs more such leaders in healthcare—especially in oncology, where the stakes are high, the challenges immense, and the need for compassion and credibility unparalleled.

For me, Holi has always been more than just a festival—it’s about celebrating with both family and colleagues. Because truly, the essence of life’s celebrations lies in togetherness… the essence of VIBGYOR.
This year, the celebrations felt even more special.
With AARAMBH marking the beginning of a new chapter—a healthcare movement we are building through Pacific OneHealth (POH)—Holi was celebrated in its truest, most meaningful form.
It was a beautiful blend of:
🔹 Formal beginnings — deep conversations, alignment, and our first offsite as the foundational team of POH
🔹 Informal joy — colours, laughter, and celebrations across our offices at HEAL & HUMETA, and at home with loved ones
Somewhere between boardroom discussions and gulal-filled moments, we experienced what we are truly trying to build:
✨ Inclusiveness
✨ A seamless blend of work and joy
✨ And the spirit of creating something meaningful—together
Because in the end, it’s not just about building an organization.
It’s about spreading colours… the colours of trust, purpose, and collective creation.

This Republic Day, as the new Padma Awards list is announced, one quiet but powerful message stands out.
Only three doctors from the field of medicine.
And none from Delhi.
In a country where for decades proximity to power corridors, institutional clout, and “who you treat” often mattered as much as what you contributed, this signals something deeper:
👉 The Padma in Medicine has decisively shifted from being relationship-driven to being value-driven.
👉 From access to VIPs to impact on millions.
👉 From elite circles to extraordinary contribution.
Look at the pattern over the last decade.
From Dr. Duvvur Nageshwar Reddy building world-class gastroenterology and endoscopy from India,
to Dr. Dilip Mahalanabis (Posthumous) whose work on ORS saved millions of lives globally,
to Dr. Jose Chacko Periappuram performing India’s first successful heart transplant,
to pioneers like Dr. Balram Bhargava, Dr. Bhimsen Singhal, Dr. Chandrakant S Pandav (Iodine Man of India), Dr. Mammen Chandy,
and many others who created institutions, specialties, and scientific legacies that will outlive them.
What unites them is not geography.
Not social capital.
Not the number of Presidents, Prime Ministers or Ministers/ MPs they treated.
What unites them is:
• Relentless scientific excellence
• Institution-building
• Pioneering new superspecialties
• And a deep, often understated, philanthropic commitment to society
The old belief that “Padma is for the elite” is steadily being dismantled.
So is the myth that treating VIPs is the fastest route to national honours.
The last decade clearly establishes a new doctrine:
Only excellence, coupled with selfless contribution and creation of lasting medical value for society, will be acknowledged.
Not influence.
Not proximity.
Not entitlement.
On Republic Day, that is a reassuring message for every young doctor, researcher, surgeon, and clinician in India:
Your work will be seen.
Your impact will matter.
Your science and service — not your connections — will define your legacy.
Jai Hind 🇮🇳
