@TheTacticalBrit@MrProWestie It's not the inflexibility of the engine. It's the inflexibility of the committee of developers that have bureaucratised themselves into solving this singular issue. How many tweaks, passes, feedback sessions and meetings does it really take for such a simple change?
@MrProWestie This has consistently been a problem for every new Battlefield title in recent memory either with bad, late or no attempt at implementation at all. Now to the entire detriment of the game... There's clearly an old guard that vehemently oppose player agency and they need to go.
@Parallel_OG Damn you need to handle a joke better. Their comment was a funny jab at the fact SW gaming and this game in particular is in a dreadful place rn, if that offends you to the point of starting a dev support prayer circle tweet then that reflects more about you than them.
@SWBFUpdates It's easy to see how with a massive development budget (and opportunity cost for EA/DICE) that the licensing fee actually drove some of the decisions on MTX for BFII. 20-25% is extremely steep, especially considering they also have tax and other platform fees to consider as well.
@SWBFUpdates Fundamental game design decisions made by committee and market research will always be a generation behind. Some of the greatest games and even genres of the last 30 years would not exist if they had targeted only what the market was already looking for.
@theStarWarsHQ It's amazing right?! Once I started playing on a projector I didn't look back, not as competitive latency wise, but it's infinitely more immersive. Try playing on PC and disable the HUD!
Next step is playing Battlefront on a movie theater screen, totally haven't done that... π
@jtimsuggs Exactly! The Sequels tread on new ground, trailblazing a new path with:
- planet destroying superweapon.
- planet destroying superweapon 2 but more
- Fan service "pandering"
- Return of the emperor
- References to Darth Vader
- Deathstar 2
Sorry what was that about Filoni?
@TheTacticalBrit Also maddening that he'll be arrested for assault (as he should be, regardless of whether we agree with the action it's still assault) yet an equal application of the law, in arresting/removing these protestors who are breaking the law by blocking the road isn't applied.
@TheTacticalBrit Exactly this. Go fence off Signature and Harrods flight services at Luton and Farnborough. Literally one access gate for each of these, easy enough done. Blocking every day people, particularly tradespeople who rely on attending job sites to make a living is just cruel.
@FellaBrent @JarkkoKuori @WarMonitors You're thinking of the Tu-4 not the Tu-95. Tu-4 was based on a B-29, Tu-95 was designed and fielded after this as a replacement to the Tu-85, which was a prototype variant of the Tu-4 which was abandoned after they realized they had reached the limit of piston engines.
@theStarWarsHQ In an effort to get Battlefront 2015 out within a limited development window, they really ratcheted in the scope far too much. There was cool technology, great visuals, but the actual scope of the game (also in an effort not to step on Battlefields toes) was not "Battlefront".
@lift_aero Nothing screams ease and style more than a mismatched mess of randomized geometry that 99.9% of passengers will probably ignore.
Honestly would have been more impressed if you went for a retro style livery, at the very least you could harken the brand back to a time of nostalgia
@MrProWestie It's a complete life changer, going back to non gigabit internet for me at this point would be like returning to a standard resolution CRT TV, maybe not quite as dramatic but definitely would be difficult.
@FileTrekker @InterCity86101 @LeScoutZz1 @Jeagles319 @AvantiWestCoast You're not the only one... Either you live in Manchester or you're getting a hotel, if the latter you're out Β£1-200+.
Pretty shit customer service. They made a commitment to run this service when they set the date and took our money, should have run the remaining services.
@A7ZATRU Any push from Disney to try and capitalize on the clearly strong demand/market would be welcome, that being said the only reason I could see there being limitations beforehand is because of restrictions and profit structures that Disney themselves likely put in place.
@SWBFUpdates It's tough this year, whilst it would be great the price on hotels in the area is extreme, mixed with the uncertainty and the potentially smaller scale of the event itself it's just not worth it imo.
