Great to hear from two SPI members @WildCardDistrib and Tina O'Reilly about making two very different, but equally powerful Irish films - 'Kneecap' and 'That They May Face the Rising Sun'

"Pat Collins's film adaptation of John McGahern’s novel is not just a departure into narrative fiction but a progression of the themes he has been exploring in his films for over 30 years" Niall McKay takes an in-depth look at the work & career of Collins. https://t.co/xtL4etvUTg
That They May Face The Rising Sun was sublime. Packed house - beautiful acting - sounded & looked fantastic. Don’t miss the chance to see it large and loud in the company of cinemagoers and with the phone turned off. It’s special. @brendanjbyrne
"Subtle, sensitive, and dynamically understated throughout, Barry Ward is the fulcrum of this quietly magnificent film experience"

Just saw ‘That They May Face the Rising Sun’, a gorgeous, deeply affecting adaptation of the wonderful McGahern novel. So well cast and beautifully shot. Standout performances by Lalor Roddy and Seán McGinley. A stunning, captivating beaut of a film that will move you.
One of the (many) things I loved about That They May Face The Rising Sun, is how tenderly it holds the connection between people and Ireland's natural landscape.
Nature's health, beauty, and wonder, is ultimately our own.
Go see this film this weekend!
