@ColeyshawGemma@iDH_swb@AmyCrumpton12 can you help Gemma? Maybe link her in with Emily?😊
I’m happy to chat through stuff with you (@bethany_bate1) from a RRTS point of view too 😊 just drop me a message with your email 🥳
Our trusty green bag got an outing this afternoon for a #DischargeToAssess visit to review bed transfers and mobility. The power of someone’s own home showed yet again with her independence and absolutely no need for care! Her words - “oh I would have hated that!” #smilesallround
@ColeyshawGemma We don’t have a dedicated team, with the support of @iDH_swb our therapist goes out. We don’t hold the acute bed for them but we do always have a back up plan incase we need to step them up to a pathway 2 bed / get urgent care or equipment. 😊
“I’ve never had such helpful and positive communication with healthcare professionals before today…” What a compliment from a relative of a patient seen by the @SwbhFIT today at @SWBHnhs ❤️ #frailty#mdt#cga#teamworkmakesthedreamwork
Today marks 10 years working as a Speech & Language Therapist and working in the NHS! Learnt a lot and seen some big changes in that time as well as meeting some incredible people. Also means I'm nearly 2 years back at @swb_slt@ibedsSWBH after starting my career here.
I had the privilege of seeing one of your therapists talking to a patient in our very busy ED on Tuesday. The care and attention she gave above the noise and the bustle trying to make the lady feel like she was the only patient that mattered. This really is an exceptional team.
Amazing example of why its important to check your patients have their hearing aids in ESPECIALLY in a noisy ED department…
“At home do you still use a Zimmer frame?”
“Yes the carers come and dinner time”

BIG NEWS 📣Happy 100th Birthday to one of our patients, this beautiful little lady! Well done to everyone within the Lyndon 4 MDT and social team that enabled this lady to be discharged home yesterday, meaning she woke up at home with her family this morning to celebrate 🎂🎈🎁
Team RRTS had a whale of a time this afternoon solving two escape rooms on our away day! Secret cupboards, cryptic clues and everyone out with time to spare! 🥳💪 #teamwork
Happy Chinese New Year! City Hospital joined in with Birmingham’s celebrations today when the infamous Lion Dance roared its way onto the site. Thanks to the Chinese Festival Committee for including us in its tour across the city. #ChineseNewYear#HappyChineseNewYear
