Officers at the 8th Districr HQ were delighted to grab one of 30 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from members of Troop 26186, based out of St. Symphorosa School. A number of Scouts in the troop are themselves daughters of police officers. Cookies were paid for by a local business.
SW Siders know Coach Elsa from her years of faithful service to the community, especially as a leader of youth athletics in the greater MDW area. But most are not aware that she's an accomplished baker as well. Folks rave about her old-fashioned butter cookies. ๐
