Conditions permitting, staff from the Southwest Florida Water Management District will conduct a 253-acre prescribed fire at Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve- East Tract in Sumter County starting at 10:30 a.m. today (Oct. 22). The burn unit is located 1.3 mile east of SR-471.

Conditions permitting, District staff will conduct a 178-acre prescribed fire at Lower Hillsborough- Flatwoods Park in Hillsborough County at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Oct. 22. The burn unit is located 0.6 mi west of Morris Bridge Rd, 4 mi east of I-75 and 1.2 mi south of Cross Creek.
