✅ Students can now pursue multiple qualifications at different NQF levels.
✅ Special provisions apply for NC(V) graduates progressing into trades.
✅ Allowances cover accommodation or transport, plus limited personal support.
✅ Centres of Specialisation at SWGC offer accredited trades in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning, Electrical, and Plumbing.
This shift ensures training is aligned with employment and self‑employment outcomes, empowering students with skills that meet industry demand.

From dominant wins to heartbreaking close calls, the day proved that SWGC is a force to be reckoned with, even when results were mixed.

MEN’S TEAM: A commanding 4–1 victory, showcasing attacking brilliance and control.

QCTO HOSTS 1ST QUALITY PARTNER FORUM AT SWGC ROODEPOORT CAMPUS
Today, the QCTO hosted its 1st Quality Partner Forum for the 2026–27 financial year at our Roodepoort Campus. South West Gauteng TVET College was honoured to provide the venue for this important gathering, which marked another step in strengthening quality assurance collaboration with all 21 SETAs, SAQA, DHET and NAMB.
The forum advanced discussions on transitional arrangements and reaffirmed the shared commitment to building a responsive and integrated skills development system. Participants also received updates from the Standardisation Focus Groups, with insightful feedback and progress reports that continue to strengthen excellence in occupational quality assurance.
As the host institution, South West Gauteng TVET College is proud to support platforms that drive collaboration, consistency, and innovation across the skills development ecosystem.
