Very excited to announce the 1st Paediatric South East Wales Polyposis MDT clinic took place yesterday. A great one-stop shop for this cohort of patients to avoid multiple appointments with various members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Today our fabulous nurses dressed in purple and spent their lunch break here, in outpatients, helping to raise awareness of Crohn’s & colitis on world IBD day. Showing support to the strong resilient courageous children they care for.
Great to hear about paediatric IBD incidence data from Cardiff.
Super presentation at #ESPGHAN23 and huge increases in patient numbers. Important for service planning and patient management

Joined by @dietitianwales from @CAVCYPDiabetes we set off in relatively nice weather but the cloud, the rain and wind arrived still we did it. Now it’s time for members of the team to decide if they can do 2 more peaks all within 24 hours
We want to raise money to enable us to hold education days for our gastro children. We were wondering if we could do the 3 Welsh peaks in 24 hours. Sitting in the office and talking about it, it’s sounds easy so to test the waters we walked Pen Y Fan with 3 dogs and 2 children. .
