Join us TODAY on X Spaces with @Kampalawalks,it’s a public health necessity.
Today’s X Space conversation will dive deep into air quality, the real challenges our cities face, and why clean air matters for our health and mobility
Due to heavy traffic congestion in Mpigi, motorists heading to Kampala have been diverted to use the Kasanje–Nakawuka route, while those heading to Masaka have been diverted to use the Gomba–Sembabule route.
We urge all motorists to comply with officers’ directives for smooth traffic flow & safety
Great community engagement today in Mutukula Town Council at the Taxi Park as @swrwug , @EACOP_ & @AGL held a #RoadSafety Town Hall.
We tackled key issues like #speeding, overtaking in blind corners, reckless lane changes & misunderstanding road signs with vital insights.
At the Maya Power Substation, the men & women powering Uganda were eager and excited to discuss Road & Workplace Safety.
Thanks to CFAO Mobility, CMEC & JICA for bringing us together to promote Zero Tolerance. Safety is our Responsibility!

These are not unavoidable “accidents.”
They are preventable crashes that demand urgent action.
We call on all stakeholders, from enforcement to operators, to prioritize safety, strengthen monitoring, and address these risks before more lives are affected.
Another Nile Star on the ground!!!
Several passengers sustained injuries Wednesday evening after a Nile Star Bus overturned along the Kampala–Gulu highway in Alengo Village, Diima in Kiryandongo District.
Quick recovery to those who were injured. Thank God no fatalities.
This is the second Nile Star bus to be involved in a road crash in less than 3 weeks on the same road.
Points of reflection;
Is it the Buses?
Is it about the bus maintenance?
Is it driver fatigue?
Is it the road?
Or it’s the driver’s incompetence?
These aren’t accidents but avoidable crashes.
Hope @PoliceUg investigations gives us answers and we avoid repeats, make our roads safe and save lives.
@swrwug we’re teaming up with @SafeBoda to push a culture of #helmet safety across Kampala.
When you ask for a #helmet, you protect yourself and help your @SafeBoda driver climb the leaderboard for daily @flexi_paynow rewards.
Let’s build safer roads together.
Ask. Wear. Rate.
Every life lost on our roads is one too many.
Today, we honor the victims, stand with survivors, and recommit to safer roads for all.
Uganda must do better. We can do better. And it starts with each one of us.
Remember. Support. Act.

Traffic Advisory
The rainy days are here.
Motorists: Slow down, keep a safe distance & watch out for flooded sections and puddles. Be courteous towards other road users.
Pedestrians: Carry an umbrella and use designated sidewalks where available. Stay cautious and don't walk through floods/puddles or where you can't see the road surface.
Stay safe this season.
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is here!
Every statistic represents a life claimed, often due to speeding or the lack of a standard helmet to protect against fatal head injuries.
Let’s slow down and save lives. #RoadSafetyUg
@swrwug CLO's & @TotalEnergiesUG staff spent the day in #Pakwach Sensitizing Bodaboda riders of Uduk 2 stage to Ngwedo P/S. engaging boda-boda riders in community road safety sensitization, helmet use, use of reflective gear, & first aid key to reducing crashes & saving lives.
@swrwug featured in @DailyMonitor’s #Rainbow for our role in the launch of the Kampala Traffic Control Center, a milestone toward a #Safer, #Smarter & #Efficient Road system in Uganda.
Together with @KCCAUG & @JICA_Uganda, we are improving traffic flow & management in the city
