WOW! We resolved the problem that the observed global inter-source correlations have not exhibited any theoretical features. The solution leads to a new category of constraints on Earth and planetary interiors, even with very limited seismic sensors.

Inspired by watching the Apollo missions on TV, Prof Louis-Noël Moresi FAA (@LouisMoresi) knew—despite their dodgy TV reception—that science was his future. "That did it for me: I just wanted to know all about planets and space and the magic of discovering new things." He now creates open-source software to expand our understanding of geology and tectonics. Using computational physics, he is helping transform the accessibility of quantitative modelling across the Earth sciences. #FellowsAA
2023 Moho map for Australia has dropped! Project led by Brian Kennett/ANU integrates new constraints on continental crust thickness from recent seismic deployments across Aus. "Refining the Moho across the Australian continent" https://t.co/Ew3oF8eiQ9

I spoke with Asia-Pacific's Global Net about measuring Mars' core & other discoveries in global/planetary seismology via coda-correlation wavefield. @SWang_like_cats@TSonPham@TCostadeLima@anuearthscience@scienceANU

In a region with low seismicity, Stähler et al. use a polarization-based method to locate seismic events that occurred next to the Nordstream gas leaks. The seismic signature is consistent with underwater explosions.

You can do seismology with a single station & get meaningful results for planetary interiors (example here is Mars). This technique is useful in planetary science where deployment of a full network is unaffordable. @SWang_like_cats & @hrvojetkalcic: https://t.co/DQOWZLgbV5
