In Holly Winterburn’s first start of her #WNBA career, she showed a lot of flashes of potential on both sides of the ball.

Her length and IQ defensive shined last night, leading to 2 steals and more deflections. Holly showed great poise and control in the PnR, making great reads all night (7 assists). When she decided to drive to the basket, she was confident, aggressive, and used her size well to create space. Winterburn displayed an understanding of the offensive system with her constant off ball movement and cutting, one of the more underrated parts of her game.

All things considered, I think she played great vs one of the toughest defenses in the league. I’m glad she was able to have a good game vs an ATL team that just let her go. In a season that will be full of opportunities, I’m looking forward to see how she continues to develop. Go Fire!❤️‍🔥
