This International Women's Day, SPH Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam and KAILASA offer not congratulations — but a remembrance.

The world spent fifty years promising women liberation. The results: women's happiness declining across every Western nation for 35 consecutive years, one in four American women on antidepressants, and South Korea — Western feminism's greatest cultural victory — recording the lowest fertility rate in human history. What was sold as liberation was the most elegant exploitation ever designed: double the labor supply, suppress wages, sell domestic labor back to women as paid services, and convince them the exhaustion is empowerment.

Sanatana Hindu Dharma offers something the modern world has no category for. The Vedagamic tradition is precise: Shakti is not a goddess among gods — she is consciousness itself in its kinetic aspect, the very power of cognition and manifestation. Without her, Shiva is Shava — a corpse. This is the tradition that produced Gargi who challenged the greatest philosophers of her civilization without asking permission, Maitreyi who chose immortal knowledge over material wealth 2,500 years ago, Draupadi who faced a full royal assembly alone and called kings to account, and Meenakshi — for whom an entire city was built, with Shiva as her devoted suitor. These women did not emerge from oppression. They emerged from a civilization that knew exactly what women are.

The Hindu woman turning away from her tradition is not finding liberation — she is accepting a counterfeit for something first stolen by conquest, then colonialism, then blamed on Hinduism itself. Your inheritance was never oppression. Your inheritance was Parashakti — the source of existence itself. Remember it. Reclaim it.
