As recently as 6 months ago I was a civ nat. I joined Restore Britain without hesitation, but had a problem saying people of ethnically different backgrounds weren’t British. Especially if they called Britain home their entire life. It felt unreasonable and mean.

To me, anybody could even be English. I genuinely bought the whole “if they integrate” thing.

Then, thanks to discourse on here (people like @cfdownes_ @Con_Tomlinson @Sargon_of_Akkad) I began to notice.

I noticed I can never be Indian, or Japanese, Jewish, African or Pakistani, or anything other than English. I’m native to these Isles. I have nowhere else to go. I have no backup cultural heritage somewhere else if English culture is eradicated here, which is what is happening.

So I asked - ‘how come every other ethnic people group gets to flood in here, have celebrated their exclusive ethnic heritage, somehow claim my heritage as their own too, AND call me racist if I recognise my own Englishness?’.

The cognitive dissonance just snapped me out of it.

As a nation we’ve been obsessively trying to not see race, while every other race is largely busy growing in number, infiltrating our political system, consistently working in their own group’s interests, and lumping all white people together into one demonised and hated category.

Ethnonationalism, or whatever you want to call it, is simply us doing what EVERY OTHER ETHNIC GROUP DOES: recognises itself as an ethnic people and culture who have a right to exist and protect themselves from being attacked and undermined. Throw in having the right to not be ethnically replaced in their native homeland, obviously.

Maybe that’s ‘mean’ to those who have been benefitting from our suicidal empathy… but we can’t keep being ‘nice’ as our nation is gradually vandalised beyond recognition. It doesn’t end well for us.

I’m just glad I woke up to it all and I will make it my mission to wake up others.
