#summerapread19 Just finished Origin by Dan Brown, and I really enjoyed it. The idea behind Edmond Kirsch's discovery and its reveal was very clean and interesting, but I do wish that the book had gone more in-depth about what happened to the other characters in the aftermath.
#summerapread19 It doesn't make any sense to me why Admiral Avila was reluctant to take on a mission because it might involve violence. Since he was willing to commit murder for a previous mission, why does the possibility that he might have to use force suddenly bother him now?
#summerapread19 Dan Brown does a really good job of exploring the dangers of social media, and how it can be used as a weapon. Origin shows some of the negative consequences of news spreading so quickly, as well as how people on the internet often cause more harm than good.
#summerapread19 I'm over halfway done with Origin, and so far the author, Dan Brown, has only used existing locations, as well as referencing several real events, artworks, and books. I think it's really neat that the book consists entirely of real places that can be traced.
#summerapread19 Origin is really keeping me on the edge of my seat now that I've gotten further into the story. I'm really curious as to why Edmond wanted to meet with religious leaders about his discovery if he was going to lie and release anyway it no matter what they said.
#summerapread19 I'm now at chapter fifteen of Origin, and I'm wondering why Edmond is treating Langdon differently than he is his other guests. Since was given his own special headset and a private tour, I think that Edmond might want something from him.
#summerapread19 About five chapters into Origin now, and happy that the plot picked up pretty quickly after the introductions. The story is based around one big mystery, so my question now is how the author is going to keep it interesting without giving too much away too soon.
#summerapread19 Just started Origin by Dan Brown. Right now it's a little slow because the characters and setting are just getting introduced, but I'm really excited to get into it as I've heard some really great reviews and am a fan of his other books.
