Satan is not opposed to good morals.

He’s opposed to Jesus Christ.

Read that again because most Christians miss this completely.

Satan doesn’t care if you’re a “good person.” He doesn’t care if you volunteer at the food bank, recycle your trash, and help old ladies cross the street. He doesn’t care if you’re kind, generous, and well-liked by everyone in your community.

He cares that you don’t bow the knee to Jesus.

Here’s the deception that’s damning millions:

Satan has convinced people that morality equals spirituality. That being a “good person” is the same as being a Christian. That if you just live right, treat people well, and avoid the “big sins,” you’re acceptable to God.

This is a lie straight from the pit of hell.

The Pharisees had impeccable morals. They followed the law meticulously. They were respected, disciplined, and religiously devoted.

Jesus called them children of the devil.
Why? Not because their morals were bad. Because their morals replaced Christ.
Satan’s greatest trick isn’t making bad people worse. It’s making good people think they don’t need a Savior.

Think about it:

The atheist who feeds the homeless thinks he’s good enough without God.

The Buddhist who meditates and practices compassion thinks she’s enlightened without Christ.

The Muslim who prays five times daily thinks he’s righteous without Jesus.

The moral Christian who goes to church, pays his tithe, and avoids scandal thinks he’s saved without surrender.

All of them are headed to the same place: eternal separation from God.

Because morality doesn’t save. Jesus saves.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Satan loves moral people who reject Jesus. They’re his best advertisement for the lie that you can earn your way to heaven.

They’re living proof that you can:

•Be kind without Christ
•Be generous without God
•Be disciplined without the Holy Spirit
•Be respected without redemption

And still be lost.

The most dangerous people in hell won’t be the murderers and rapists. They’ll be the moral, upstanding citizens who thought their goodness was good enough.

Their morals became their idol. Their goodness became their god.

And Satan smiled because he’d accomplished his goal: Keep them from Jesus.

Here’s what most Christians don’t understand:

Satan doesn’t need to make you do bad things. He just needs to keep you from doing the ONE thing that matters: surrendering to Christ.

If he can get you to:

•Trust your morals instead of Christ’s sacrifice

•Rely on your goodness instead of God’s grace

•Believe in your works instead of Jesus’ finished work

He’s won.

You can live a moral life and still die lost. You can be a good person and still face judgment. You can avoid all the “big sins” and still end up separated from God forever.
Because the only sin that damns you eternally is rejecting Jesus Christ.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36

Not the murderer who repents and believes in Christ is damned.

Not the thief who turns to Jesus on the cross is damned.

Not the prostitute who washes Jesus’ feet with her tears is damned.

The moral, religious person who rejects Christ is damned.

That’s why Satan loves morality without Jesus. It sends people to hell with a smile on their face, convinced they were good enough.

Stop trusting your morals. Start trusting Jesus.

Your goodness won’t save you. Your works won’t redeem you. Your morality won’t justify you.

Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away your sin and make you acceptable to a holy God.

Everything else is just Satan’s distraction from the one thing that actually matters.

Maarten van Rossem vraagt zich af „hoe stom de kiezer eigenlijk is”. De „gekken van Forum voor Democratie” groeien namelijk in de peilingen en zouden zomaar de Europese Unie kunnen opblazen. Niet met explosieven, maar met een stemformulier. Het gevaar komt tegenwoordig uit een rood potlood.

Van Rossem is historicus, maar promoveerde zichzelf inmiddels tot keuringsarts van het electoraat. Hij hoeft politieke opvattingen niet meer te onderzoeken. Even aan de kiezer ruiken en de diagnose staat vast: onvoldoende ontwikkeld voor democratisch gebruik.

Dat scheelt een hoop werk.

Hij had natuurlijk kunnen uitleggen waarom steeds meer mensen op Lidewij de Vos willen stemmen. Misschien zijn zij ontevreden over migratie, Brussel, koopkracht of een overheid die hen doorgaans pas opmerkt wanneer er belasting moet worden betaald. Maar dat zou betekenen dat hun onvrede mogelijk een oorzaak heeft. Veel eenvoudiger is het om de patiënt krankzinnig te verklaren.

De democratie blijft bij Van Rossem overigens volledig intact. Iedereen mag stemmen, zolang de uitslag overeenkomt met de inzichten van Maarten van Rossem. Zo niet, dan is nader onderzoek naar de geestelijke vermogens van de bevolking wenselijk.

De Vos zelf hoeft inhoudelijk nauwelijks te worden bestreden. Zij behoort immers tot „de gekken”. Daarmee is het debat afgerond voordat het begonnen is. Wie naar haar luistert, is stom. Wie haar argumenten overweegt, verdacht. Wie op haar stemt, vormt een gevaar voor Europa. Het is de methode van de schoolmeester die geen orde meer kan houden en daarom de hele klas achterlijk noemt.

Rond Pim Fortuyn zagen we hoe een politicus stap voor stap buiten de kring van het aanvaardbare werd geplaatst. Niet alleen zijn ideeën waren gevaarlijk; de man zelf werd een gevaar. Dat betekent niet dat woorden automatisch tot geweld leiden. Het betekent wel dat iemand die een politicus tot maatschappelijk ziekteverschijnsel verklaart, moet begrijpen wat hij aan het doen is.

Juist een historicus zou enige herinnering mogen hebben aan de gevolgen van politieke ontmenselijking. Maar Van Rossem gebruikt zijn geleerdheid hier niet als rem. Hij gebruikt haar als vergunning. De belediging krijgt een academisch jasje en mag daarna als duiding op televisie.

Het komische is dat Van Rossem vermoedelijk meent de democratie te beschermen. Hij verdedigt haar door kiezers te beledigen, tegenstanders krankzinnig te verklaren en een jonge politica neer te zetten als voorbode van Europese vernietiging. Brandveiligheid volgens de man met de lucifers.

Wie De Vos haar kiezers stom en gek noemt, bestrijdt geen ideeën maar het recht van burgers om zonder toestemming van de bovenmeester tot een oordeel te komen.

Maarten van Rossem kijkt neer op de kiezer vanaf een intellectueel voetstuk dat hij zelf heeft gemetseld. Alleen begint dat voetstuk steeds meer op een zeepkist te lijken.

Tolstoy, who understood a great deal about the weight of a conscience, told the gallery's owner it was the best Christ he knew.

Everyone comes, sooner or later, to some version of that stone: a morning when the right thing and the easy thing point in opposite directions, and no one else can make the choice for you.

The painter never tells us what Christ decides. Instead, he paints the weight of the choice before it is made. For the measure of a person is not what they do when the world is watching, but what they resolve to do in the grey hour, alone, when walking away would cost them nothing at all...

I will write only some of this out because it’s very important, however you should listen to it so you can hear the passion:

“The culture shift comes from what children learn at school and online. Ask any young person what history they learned at school, and they’ll tell you, Hitler. Ask them what else? Slavery. Ask them what else? American civil rights.

In fact, what little they know of history will be all about Black and brown people fighting for equality against the white man, women fighting men for the vote, gay and trans people fighting for various rights. Our young people have been taught that history is simply one long story about various groups struggling under the oppressive dead white man.

— History is taught through an oppressor lens. The triangular slave trade, white men held the power. What about Britain ending the slave trade? More than a quick mention, if at all? Mm, no.

What of the Arab slave trade that lasted 3 times as long as the triangular slave trade? Mm, no.

Okay, so GCSE history in Britain is often taught as migration through time, so the idea that Britain has always been a land of immigrants is embedded in our children’s heads. Most schools would prefer to concentrate learning about the tiny number of Black people who existed in Tudor England over a thorough analysis of England’s break from Rome.

— Not to mention weeks on King Mansa Musa of Mali because he was a Black Muslim. His bearing on British institutions, laws, and faith is nonexistent. And the fact that he is said to have been the richest man in history, thanks in part to his massive slave-owning society, is a detail somehow that teachers rarely ever teach.

But it isn’t just our schools. It’s our general culture too. Take your kids to a museum or an art gallery in any Western country, and you’ll find the same narrative.

As an example, when learning about aviation in London’s Science Museum and the extraordinary feat that is man making massive machines move in the sky, a write-up on the wall explains that women and Black people were historically barred from aviation schools and the military. Similarly, James Watt, the man who invented the steam engine and is considered the founder of the Industrial Revolution, has a write-up on the wall explaining that his early career involved slave trafficking, with a bonus analysis of the whole of Britain’s complicity in the slave trade.

They flatten the entire human story and all of its complexities into the narrative of oppressor and oppressed, leaving young people unable to see the world in any other terms.”
