If an offer is advertised as 5000, why does the customer effectively lose another 556 through multiple fees at checkout?

What exactly are these charges for, and why are they not clearly reflected upfront when the offer is presented?

On a ₹5000 offer/purchase, I'm seeing:
- Promise Protect Fee - 199
- Offer Handling Fee - 199
- Payment Processing Fee - 158

Thats 556 in additional charges, more than 11% of the 5000 value. 1/n

Dear @Flipkart, I ordered a phone on EMI and noticed a "Protect Promise Fee" along with "Offer & Payment Handling Fees" that totaled ₹217. This was charged even after a ₹1250 discount on my SBI card. It seems like a lot of customers are facing this issue. #FlipkartScam
