@MasonJack75333@HowlingMines I don’t think “this deck needs draws” is a good defense of draws. If a strategy can’t consistently win within the round timer then either the deck needs better support or players need to adapt. The goal is to determine a winner, not create system that rewards not finishing games.
@HowlingMines Sadly, collusion happens currently too with best ofs. Never going to get rid of that, at least make the games matter not just a draw fest and weird breakers. Also stops early rounds where players play for time to draw.
@Hilton the worst experience ever at your doubletree downtown Minneapolis. No Ac no hot water and no notification before hand. I arrive, and they refuse to do a walk. It’s now midnight and I can’t book online for same night. As a gold member I’m appalled.
@MreMOEtional I think ID should be 0 as well. IDs just make it a it a way to game the system. Know you can win in time. Managing the game state and scooping is a skill when you know you can’t win.
Also any unintentional should also be 0 points.
@SouledOutSoon Competitive games reward maximizing your chance to win the tournament. If the system rewards players who cant realistically win but can farm matchup spreads, that’s not healthy competition. That 30k at 9-4 is a great payout but if thats winning Riftbound isn’t really competitive.
@MreMOEtional Not playing to win a tournament does seem to be against really the fundamental principles of wanting a competitive card game. TBH I won’t consider riftbound competitive till people are trying to win, not just be the best loser.
