There’s no specific reason to have them spread like this.
Most of my sites were accepted by Journey before, but later they were removed Due to AI, so I decided to stick with Ezoic as a stable option. Monumetric was just a test for, especially since Ezoic recently changed some of their requirements.
If the site gets rejected or deactivated through Journey, I simply switch to another network. I like to keep options open fir my smaller sites.
But my main long-term goal is Raptive, which I actually succeeded with once before.
I didn’t add any new content or fb posts or pins for more than 2 months, I even notice that 10% of the traffic now come from Direct Traffic, Branding is King
Weird… that honestly feels unfair.
So if existing publishers stay as they are, but new ones need a lot of traffic just to join, that changes the whole game. Now if we plan to sell a site, it could become much more difficult because the new buyer would need to already have an active Ezoic account.
That also means older active accounts might start being seen as “high-value” and get sold on marketplaces just because they’re grandfathered in. That’s really crazy how one update can shift the entire market like this.
Ezoic has shocked the niche site world with this news. The field already felt competitive, and now it seems even more difficult than before. Let’s see where this goes and what the next update will bring.
As I’ve always said, branding and building something big is the smartest move you can make for the long term.
