Maybe this is nitpicky but “Myles Garrett’s girlfriend” being the headline about a 3-time Olympic medalist feels a little crazy, no? I’ll hang up and listen.
Bell Media confirms (via @Variety), that they did submit Heated Rivalry for consideration at the International Emmys, although it did not receive any nominations for this year's ceremony:
Per Variety: "Not making the cut was Bell Media/Crave’s “Heated Rivalry,” although a Bell Media rep confirmed that it had been submitted.
“Heated Rivalry” was a phenom earlier this year both internationally and in the U.S., where it ran on HBO Max — but because it was a Canadian commission with no U.S. production partners, it wasn’t eligible for the Television Academy’s Primetime Emmy consideration.
"Hence, it was eligible for an International Emmy, but it wasn’t among the nominees announced on Wednesday."

Today is International Emmy nominations day, and I just want to wish the best of luck to our little Canadian show Heated Rivalry and the incredibly talented Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams.
I really hope they get nominated, but no matter what happens, they’ll always be the best in my heart. This little show and these two have genuinely changed my life, and I’ll forever be grateful for that. ♥️
Shocked to see people crying Category Fraud to Anne Hathaway going Supporting Actress instead of Lead Actress for The Odyssey! The blatant category fraud would’ve been Lead 100%, there are huge chunks of the film she’s not in, and she never could’ve won. Supporting is correct.
