“I hear what is popular among young people these days: vibes. I have nothing against good vibes. Vibes are not just for young people. Even those of us who are older can enjoy them. But if we are going to enjoy the vibes, we must have something solid to stand on, please. Don’t invest in vibes, invest in the foundation where you can now vibe. Because if there is no foundation, it won’t last.
We want things that are sustainable. We want to build a society that is resilient. You can’t built a society that is resilient on vibes. But a resilient society can vibe.” President Kagame, Chairman of the RPF | RPF Bureau Politique.
“There is one sure way of making a difference. Keep trying, even when you fail, try again. Be stubborn about trying.
Don't go away, even if some people would wish you to go away, just refuse. You stay and say, I am not going anywhere. I will just try until I get it right.” President Kagame, Chairman of the RPF, closing remarks at the RPF Extended Bureau Politique meeting that brought together over 2,000 participants to discuss ways to sustain the party’s vision over the next 30 years.
“To the young people, once again, this country expects a lot from you. And when I say the country, I mean you. You are, in fact, waiting for yourselves. You are the future you are looking toward. But it comes back to the process I was talking about, the mindset, the spirit, and everything else I mentioned, education and health. You must have knowledge, and you must have good health. Because if you are not healthy, what use is knowledge? What good is knowing anything if you do not have the health to make use of it? You must have both. And it is entirely possible to have both, if you make the choice to pursue both. It cannot be one without the other.
It is like raising a child, or planting a tree. You plant the seed, and as it grows, you continue giving it what it needs in order to thrive. It is the same with people. You need knowledge, and you should do everything possible to acquire it. But not simply to possess it. You must be able to use that knowledge to achieve the goals you have set for yourselves.” President Kagame, Chairman of the RPF | RPF Bureau Politique.
“Making people just shut up is going to be more difficult than people think. Telling us shut up, we will support those who want to come and kill you, like they killed you last time, and we will handle it the way we want. The only way to make me shut up is when I am dead. That's it.
Belittling everything and making it look like some people's lives are worth more than others. That is not my politics. It is not RPF's politics.
We are a small country. Very insignificant in many ways. You can harm to us but wishing us away is not a small thing.
When they said they would make the M23 disappear, they meant even Rwanda, we will make you disappear. Well, I can't invite it. I can't wish to have such a thing. But when it comes, when I have not been able to avoid it, I think they will find [us ready].” President Kagame, Chairman of the RPF | RPF Bureau Politique.
This morning at Intare Arena, President Kagame, Chairman of the @rpfinkotanyi, is chairing the extended RPF Bureau Politique meeting, bringing together over 2000 RPF members, leaders from public and private sector, representatives of other political parties, diplomatic corps and young professionals. My deepest condolences to my brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, his family and the people of Qatar on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will be remembered as a visionary leader who transformed Qatar into the remarkable nation it is today. His legacy of service to his people and commitment to friendship and cooperation among nations will endure for generations.
At this difficult time, the people of Rwanda and I stand with His Highness Sheikh @TamimBinHamad and our Qatari brothers and sisters.
On the sidelines of the #AIforGood Global Summit 2026, President Kagame met with President @AlarKaris of Estonia. The two leaders discussed ways forward to strengthen bilateral relations, in key areas of mutual interest including digital innovation and e-governance.
“Today, connectivity is no longer the end goal. We are now transitioning to the era of data-driven growth. Artificial intelligence is the common denominator that will redefine healthcare, education and energy, among many other sectors. As a commission, our mission is to ensure this transformation does not widen existing divisions.
The task ahead of us is urgent, but we will face challenges. The objective isn’t just to have a conversation. It is to ensure everything we agree to do, gets translated into tangible and practical outcomes.” President Kagame
President Kagame joined fellow Co-Chair Marc Benioff and Vice-Chair Doreen Bogdan-Martin for a fireside chat marking the launch of the AI for Good Global Commission. He then chaired the Commission’s inaugural meeting alongside Marc Benioff and Doreen Bogdan-Martin.
The high-level initiative brings together 44 commissioners to identify practical ways to harness artificial intelligence to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
“Artificial intelligence has the power to transform lives and strengthen economies. Africa is well-positioned to contribute to the digital economy. By 2050, our continent will have the largest, fastest-growing workforce in the world. There are many success stories about what our young people are doing on the continent with artificial intelligence. We have to invest in them. It will be a win-win for everyone. The bottom line, is that for A.I. to serve humanity as a whole, we must get it right in Africa and everywhere else.” President Kagame | #AIforGood Global Summit 2026
President Kagame is in Geneva where will deliver a keynote address at the opening of the @AIforGood Global Summit 2026, and officially launch the AI for Good Global Commission, along with co-chair Marc @Benioff, CEO and Co-Founder of Salesforce, vice-chair Doreen Bogdan-Martin, @ITUSecGen, President @HallaTomas of Iceland and President @AlarKaris of Estonia.
