I'm thrilled to say that I've accepted an offer with @nerdstgamers to work as their Broadcast Coordinator. This is an amazing opportunity for me and a great milestone for what I think will be a promising career in esports. I start on the 22nd!
Small update. Just accepted a full-time offer to do business development for an engineering consultancy company.
That said, I'm probably deleting Twitter because I cannot stand what this app has become since the Elon buyout.
If you want to keep in touch sababyy is my discord
What are we even talking about here??ย When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me.ย VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!
@spamofthemic The only way the sportswashing stops is if the game developers/gaming organizations refuse the money. It's not on a streamer/sponsorship level.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone just broke the Women's 400m Hurdles World Record at the U.S. Olympic trials. Easily goat status and easily a lock in for the Olympic gold in a month.
Everyone in esports should try to tune in to the U.S Olympic trials before the Olympics rolls around. Some incredible things are happening and this will be one of the most scintillating Olympics for Track & Field yet.
@karonmoser Itโs disheartening for sure. I think a lot of people are starting to see the state of esports for what it is. In the end, I think these ethical decision will rob the passion from people. I donโt think that excludes those that took the gig
What is crazy about this EWC thing is that I see very little blame placed on Riot themselves. Riot has full control of their IP. Don't get it twisted, they were actively blocking grassroots HS TO's to keep PlaysVS competitive.
They have the last say in how their IP is used. 1
@1000EyesCasts I think there are a lot of people that would agree with you. I for one am one of those people. I do think esports needs a hard reset. I think it needs a correction. I think a lot of things need to be rethought. I think we need to go back to basics.
@1000EyesCasts I didn't know you were homeless. I'm sorry about that. It doesn't feel great either when friends are at odds with fundamental beliefs. I feel for you there too. I think that's why it's a situation where everyone loses. I truly don't think many of these people want to be on EWC
@1000EyesCasts I get that, that being said, I try to be understanding to those that feel they don't have another recourse financially. Esports is an expensive dream to chase, and people are more desperate than ever right now. I think this is a situation everyone loses in (but SA)
@karonmoser There is even a "Prohibited Sponsorship List." I think it begs the additional question of why Riot is so meticulous on the sponsors it allows TO's to platform, yet has no issues allowing this particular TO platform their product.
It's clearly an apathy issue.

These were the hoops people had to leap thru to TO in NA including prizepool CAPS to prevent Riot events from being outshone. I've seen them shut down TO's for much less than the host having an abysmal human rights record. They just didn't.
EWC never happens without explicit approval from Riot. If participation of EWC is an unethical decision, then that makes Riot an unethical corporation that, by approving this tournament, has done far more damage to marginalized communities than a caster ever could. 4
Let's not forget that it was Riot who nuked the T2/T3 development pipeline over and over again. It was Riot who encouraged casters to move out to LA to chase this esports dream. Riot has never been in the little guy's corner. They have never taken accountability before. 3
