Gituku: How do you cross over to Uganda to do business yet you have no ID? You are asking Kenyans who are outside Kenya to come and register and get IDs, where did their IDs go to? We are just over 10 months to the elections, youβd obviously expect Kenyans to be concerned why you are visiting the borders to talk about registration and votes and that boundaries do not exist #CitizenNewsGang @SamGituku
We joined the community at Amanang Secondary School in Bukwo District, Uganda, for a thanksgiving ceremony. We celebrated the strong bonds of friendship, unity and shared heritage between Kenya and Uganda.
Our two countries share deep social, cultural and economic ties. We will continue to support the free movement of our citizens, enabling Kenyans and Ugandans to live, work and do business across our borders as envisioned in the East African Community protocol.
We also emphasised the importance of strengthening cross-border security cooperation to address cattle rustling, banditry and other criminal activities.
Our security teams in West Pokot and the neighbouring Ugandan region have been directed to work closely to ensure lasting peace and security for communities on both sides of the border.
We will not allow criminals to commit offences in one country and seek refuge in the other.
We also look forward to the completion and commissioning of the Suam One Stop Border Post by President William Ruto and President Yoweri Museveni, further strengthening our cooperation and regional integration. We remain committed to working together as one people for peace, security and shared prosperity.
I was accompanied by Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang, Endebess MP Robert Pukose, County MP Lilian Siyoi, Kiminini MP Kakai Bisau, and Kenya's High Commissioner to Uganda Ababu Namwamba, among other leaders.
From the Uganda side, we were received by Kapyagon Brian Besta β MP, Kongasis County, Chelangat Evelyn Tete β Woman Representative, Bukwo District, Chesol Tom β District Chairperson, Bukwo, and Chelimo Vincent β District Chairperson, Kapchorwa, among other dignitaries.
I am deeply moved by the love, compassion, and humanity being demonstrated by the mothers and people of Kapchorwa.
What Iβm witnessed is truly remarkable. Mothers are caring for the injured King David pupils as though they were their own children. Many have brought their own bedding and blankets to comfort the children who are nursing serious injuries Kapachora Referral Hospital, each child is being attended to not only by dedicated doctors and nurses, but also by compassionate mothers who volunteered to help, despite having no relation to the children.
The same spirit of kindness and selflessness is evident at Kaserem Health Centre IV, where the community has rallied together to care for these little ones.
To everyone who is supporting these children during this difficult time, may God richly bless you. Your love is giving hope to families and strength to the injured.
βCarry each otherβs burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.β -Galatians 6:2
Let us all continue to pray for the little ones, asking God to grant them healing, comfort, and a full recovery.

@UEDCLTD Dear @UEDCLTD, you say this and yet we've stayed for over 4 days now without power in the Mighty Munyonyo? Our businesses are suffering losses, livelihoods getting destroyed and the confidence on you guys to provide better service is drastically reducing. Come on guys π
I am shocked to learn of the demise of former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, a patriot, a pan-Africanist, a democrat and a leader who made significant contributions to democracy in Kenya and in Africa.
Kenya has lost one of its most formidable leaders who shaped the trajectory of our beloved country. Africa has lost a leading voice in pushing for peace, security and development. The world has lost a great leader.
During these difficult times, I pass my deepest condolences to Mama Ida Odinga and the entire Odinga family, to the people of Kibra Constituency , who he represented for many years, to the people of Siaya County, where he hails from and to all of us Kenyans.
May the Lord comfort us all as we deal with this enormous blow.
