We are delighted to welcome Mya and Shannon to the Santa Sabina basketball coaching team this year. They bring a wealth of experience from Texas and Tennessee and the students are looking forward to a great year of basketball #sssport π
The best of luck to our very own @Mimi_Clarke as she heads off to Cyprus with the @BballIrl Senior Womenβs Team to compete in The European Championship for Small Countries.
Weβre so proud of you, Mimi. We canβt wait to cheer you and the team on all week! #COYGIG
Week 3 of our March Globetrotter Challenge shows 2S out in front having reached Birmingham- our 5th target. 3O are in a close second having bypassed Manchester (4th target) and on the way to Birmingham. 1G have also left the Island of Ireland and are on the way to Manchester!ππ½ββοΈππΌ
Week 2 of our challenge shows 2S and 1G on the way to our 2nd target-Galway City. Unfortunately 1E and 1S have a long way to go but will hopefully follow in 3Oβs footsteps with a massive comeback and join the other classes in the race to Belfast and beyond. Stay tuned!
Our 6th years had a stormy return to PE last week but at least they were happy! Let's hope the weather is nicer to our 5th years who return to school and PE this week! #goodtobeback#sssport
This month our 1st, 2nd and 3rd years are taking part in a Virtual Globetrotting Challenge. After one week, this is how far we have travelled. No class has reached Belfast yet (our first pitstop!) but some are close! Other have yet to reach the gates of SS! Stay tuned! πΆπΌββοΈπΆπ½ββοΈπΆπΏββοΈ

With all sport on hold at the moment, we are looking back at good times in the Santa Sabina Sports World. Does anyone recognise these basketball players? #throwback#sssport#ssbasketball
To all the coaches who made training possible in 2020
Who pumped balls
Who arrived early
Who set out cones
Who arranged covid forms
Who brought hand sanitiser
Who managed pods
Who brought joy to kids at an uncertain time
Who brought friends together again

We were delighted to see the return of Gaelic football this week with 1st years training yesterday and our 3rd and 4th years today. We look forward to the return of the second year team next week. #sssport#sslgfa@santasabina_ie
Many thanks again to Isobel from @cricketleinster who has completed an introductory session with all 5 first year classes. They all really enjoyed it and are looking forward to more cricket in the future! #sscricket#sssport@santasabina_ie @lecheiletrust
