We are strongly appealing to you to recognize that the hijab is not a fashion statement or a cultural accessory, but a religious obligation. We will not tolerate any form of disrespect or discrimination against our female candidates during examinations on the basis of their wearing the hijab.

We have received a report that in Ibadan, at a UTME centre with the code UTME2017/30020010, Muslim candidates wearing hijab were allegedly denied access to the examination hall. This act is unacceptable.

We therefore urge the examination authority to take immediate and decisive action on this matter and to ensure that such an incident does not occur again in the future.

I don't blame those missionary schools for preventing Muslim ladies from wearing hijab, I blame their parents for taking them to those schools, if you really have a respect for Islam, you wouldn't take your daughters to where they'd be forced to remove their Hijabs.

There's no single school in the North where non-Muslim ladies are forced to wear Hijab, but why is it that Muslim ladies are being prevented from wearing Hijab in some schools in some States of Nigeria.?? I think everyone has a right to practice their religion. Enough is enough!
