@hbcarter I was in Bethany Beach a few blocks away when this storm came up. We heard rumbles of thunder for quite a while, then after seeing lightning the lifeguards evacuated the beach. This was over a period of 15-20 minutes. There was ample warning. People were too slow to respond.

@MarkVergenes That’s at least partly because there’s such a low threshold for getting into the industry. People think they can make easy money; shows about real estate and house flipping don’t convey reality. Too many of these new agents are poorly trained & ill-equipped to conduct business.

@BradLoganCOTE That is sick! I feel so bad for the young boy, as the humiliation he must have felt in front of his teammates at being hit by this bully of a coach, will have a lasting impact on his self esteem. No way to recover that even if the guy is fired.

@CarterLNP How is the $900k requested by the Chamber, EDC & Assets for “administration” to be used? Seems like a very high figure for admin costs. Would like to see those funds go to the small businesses who need it; not just for PPE but for rent and ongoing business overhead costs.
