Many thanks to our Parents Association for organizing Winter Night for our Sabot community. Sabot's annual Winter Night is a simplistic communal celebration to pause and reflect on the change of seasons, the balance between light and dark, and our connection to nature.

Our students helping to prepare for our annual Winter Night event. They were responsible for helping place the luminarias on the path and around campus, and ensuring all the lights were turned on in the labyrinth for Winter Night's guests to enjoy.
Richmond Family Magazine will host its Education Expo '21 on Sunday, November 7 (free to the public). We will be there to offer information about our Sabot programs and have a fun and engaging activity for kids. Please stop by the Sabot booth to learn more.

Tap, tap is what head of school, S. Montague, heard on her window today. Two 2nd graders standing at her window to deliver a letter. "They were making a request--which I love & it's wonderful when my window becomes my mailbox," she said. They can expect a written response.
Last weekend, before the start of classes, we were thrilled to welcome our new families and their buddy families to campus. Students and their families played lawn games, made bubbles, and cooled off with popsicles!
First day was a success at Sabot! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to start the new school year. It was nice having the students back on campus and watching how quickly everyone acclimated.
Kindergarten collaborated with Milk River Arts to create a character and story for a Garden Friend doll. Milk River's doll party is a way to acknowledge how we haven’t been able to do as much with our friends during COVID. Read more on the blog.

Congratulations to the Sabot #Classof2021! After being at Sabot since 3rd Grade, Carter is off to Trinity next year. His advice to next year's 8th Graders is to "Try your best, even when you want to give up."
Congratulations to the Sabot #Classof2021! Matilda has been a Sabot Dragon since Kindergarten and will stay a Dragon next year at Maggie Walker. Her advice to next year's 8th grade is to "Try not to worry about the little things, and hug all your friends."
