The Acton Lane Power Station in West London was used for these interiors of Axis Chemicals in BATMAN (1989).
It was also used for the Egg Chamber in ALIEN (1979) and the Atmosphere Processing station + the Alien Hive in ALIENS (1986).
One location. A legendary cinematic lineage.
I keep saying everyday that this is the future of cinema.
Low budget quality movies made by people who love to do this, for people who love to watch this.
Emily Blunt on creating the alien clicking sounds in ‘DISCLOSURE DAY’
"Steven and I discussed it and he said "We could do it with AI or you could do it" and I said "I feel confident I can make some weird noises." And I was sending him voice memos of me clicking, humming mixed with morse code sounds… I just tried everything."

OBSESSION was so disturbing and uncomfortable because the casual selfishness of a man is a terrifying thing. Even a man you trust, even a man you think is your friend, you have no idea what autonomy they would steal from you if given the chance and that's horrifying
I see a lot of people hyping up Inde Navarrette for her performance in #obsession (rightfully so), but I haven’t see a lot for Bear’s actor Michael Johnston. He does such a good job a portraying legit the worst person ever.

Funny seeing Disclosure Day reviews saying ‘Spielberg is finally back!’ as if he didn’t release back to back masterpieces in the last 5 years. He never left mf!
Breakdown of how much money ‘OBSESSION’ is making for everyone involved:
• Focus Features: ~$125M
• Capstone Pictures: $45–50M with some of that being shared with the creative team, including Curry Barker
• Blumhouse Atomic bonus payout: ~$17M
Made independently for just $750K, the film was acquired by Focus Features for $15M after its Toronto International Film Festival premiere. 6 weeks later, Jason Blum joined as an executive producer to help market the movie.
Blum’s deal reportedly included:
• $2M once the film passed $25M domestically

The Fabelmans is the best movie about movies ever made because its central thesis is that movies will ruin your life and the lives of those around you but what are you gonna do? not do movies?
The old distribution model of blockbuster summer releases and awards corridors has been disrupted by streaming (ie Sinners) and we’ll likely see more change going forward. Holidays are still bankable dates for blockbusters though.
I'll never understand why the studios cram all the big movies within a few weeks of each other when months go by in the spring, fall and late winter when there's nothing worth seeing and theaters are dead. They really should space out the release calendar more.. it'd be good for
