Got my P3 kids a fabric mask each as a Welcome-Back-To-School gift. Informed parents yesterday and many thanked me. On the other hand, only 1 out of 30 pupils thanked me when collecting their mask. Something is missing isn't it, their sense of gratitude. How should I teach them?

It is amazing how quickly the children learn during this period of HBL. One child figured out how to post a photo and linked it correctly to SLS and our Flipgrid page. Another drew digitally in the "Exit Pass for Music". Amazing kiddos. I miss school. 😔

At the start of HBL, I sent out a surprise mail to my form class with a Bingo game printed on A3 paper. Yesterday S completed the game and posted in our class wall! Proud of him esp when he is often late in submitting class work. Should I send another surprise mail? #3cisawesome

Weekly checkin w the team and I decided to just bond with them thru 2 activities:1) to direct each other to draw 2) share 3 things learnt during HBL, 2 actions after HBL & 1 wish during HBL. Short 30 Mins catch up with everyone and it felt really good! Stay connected! #hwspd

My 1st Meet w form class turned up well. They were told of the weekly Chit Chat w me before sch closure. 20/30 turned up 👍. Make it fun and they din wanna leave till I said the last person will have to do a chicken dance. They left immediately! 😋 See you next week! #3cisawesome

Regrowing Spring Onion from the roots. All you need is a small container, water and the roots of the remaining spring onion. Also shared this photo on our class wall as "Msg Of The Day", encouraging the kids to try them out as well!

Most creative DIY fretboard design submitted thus far! Very impressed with him. This is the Interactive Tool function in SLS which allows comments to be posted. Remember to give your pupils enough time to brainstorm before sharing their answers! #musicwithmstay #moesls

@mdmetan Since they don't have the instrument at home, we got them to do one. The long neck strip is called the fretboard. In this case, pp can practise the fingerings at home even without the actual instrument.

Sending out this surprise tomorrow! Something fun for the children to be engaged at home while they learn to help out with simple tasks at home. Printed on A3 size paper. It took me 2hrs to prepare but its worth it. #3cisawesome

For Art & Music Teachers, we often have to teach many classes. To prepare for this HBL, it is a slow and tedious process. Create a master lesson, customise and assign to individual classes. Track the process so that we don't get confused. Stay organised and repeat for 6 levels.

HBL tips: Allow pupils more time to work on their given assignment via new platform. Lesson posted on Wedc due next Sun and pupils are still sending in their recorder video whenever they are ready.
