We all deserve the right to live authentically and safely as ourselves. Pride has always been about resistance, taking up space, and claiming the joy that has so often been denied to the most vulnerable among us. We stand with our LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, staff, and community.
Another big congratulations to Jamie Hoffman, Ph.D., for winning the Inclusive Impact Award from Sac Stateβs Disability Access Center! Check out these photos from the award ceremony last week, with Tony Sheppard, Joyce Mikal-Flynn, Andrea Becker, and Janis Belmonte.

With Artemis II marking the next step in sending humans back to the Moon, Sac State alumna Elizabeth Gabler Marquez '19 (Physics and Astronomy) is "beyond the moon" excited to be part of the journey. ππ
She has spent the past 9 years, both at Aerojet Rocketdyne and the McClellan Nuclear Research Center, contributing to @NASA's mission. Elizabeth helped with designs on the Orion capsule, n-rayed the separation stage rings, n-rayed and inspected the gas generators on the capsule, and personally made the decision which ones were good to fly. The Artemis II has completed its lunar flyby and is now on its way back to Earth.
Weβre proud to see our alumni impacting missions that shape the future of space exploration! π π«
