19:15pm Update! As you are probably aware, rain showers are moving west to east currently. Some (like the last one) will be heavy and could include a rumble of thunder... ⛈ a damp evening ahead, but good for the grass!

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

Good morning Saddleworth.
Rain is moving west to east this morning and as it moves through, you will notice a fresher feel to the weather. Temperatures will be down to about 21°C this afternoon. #saddleworth

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

FRIDAY EVENING

A chance of a thunderstorm or two this evening which are currently developing out to our west. Catch one, it will be torrential with possible thunder and lightning. Be aware ⚠️ #thunderstorms #saddleworth

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

FRIDAY

It’s deja vu this morning. There was some very heavy downpours in some areas last night. Places like Wigan saw up to 10mm of rain fall.
These showers will affect the region this morning for a time, but should break up to leave a day of warm sunny spells. Humidity rising

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

Yep, agree totally with @ChadWeather. Hope you play well and it’s a good atmosphere. I’m looking forward to ⛳️ this weekend. https://t.co/VcFHjPh5CP

[Oldham Weather @ChadWeather]

@dobcross_youth @KingfisherSch @Saddyweather The weekend's going to be hot and sunny so it's looking great for you on Saturday. Dry with hot sunny spells. Hope it goes well. 🔥🌤️

😱

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

Goodness me! Is that rain?!
It’s a dull, drizzly, but also warm and humid start to the day.
Expect these minor showers to disperse and bright spells to replace them. Becoming warm again, max 27°C

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

MONDAY

Summer is still here don’t worry, despite the cloudy and cooler start ☀️. The cloud should break up today and reveal sunny spells. Some weather apps reporting a chance of a shower this afternoon - I would ignore. 👍🤔☀️ #Saddleworth

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

TUESDAY - THURSDAY.

Hot couple of a days ahead with bright sunny spells, and occasional gusty winds generated by the heat. Temperatures peaking at 29/ 30°C. ☀️

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

@saddreporter quarry on fire again in Dobcross. Just started.

The weather this week will not help these fires, windy, sunny and very hot 🔥

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

The chance of thunderstorms on Sunday night is now very slim, so in theory we have no rain forecast for the next 5 days AT LEAST! #hosepipeban incoming I think. 💦 not good for the @manchesterfire and army and other resources tackling the #saddleworthwildfire 🔥.

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

Although the #heatwave is making temperatures rocket into the 30s, it actually doesn’t feel too bad. We have low dew points and low humidity - at the moment. Next week the humidity will rise and it will feel stuffy and unpleasant... 😭☹️

The ash cloud caused by the Saddleworth Moor fire is so big it’s affecting local weather, experts have said

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

The smoke from the #Saddleworth #wildfire has created a haze across much of Tameside and Saddleworth, which in turn, is keeping temperatures up and feeling uncomfortable. Shut doors and windows if affected. The firemen are fantastic for fighting this fire 🔥👍

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

WEDNESDAY

Hot and sunny but within the areas of the #saddleworth #wildfire the sun will be hazy at times, otherwise, blue skies and temperatures touching 30°C.
🔥☀️

Terrible news of the grass fire at St Chads graveyard. My thanks to @manchesterfire who have worked so hard in tackling fires in #Saddleworth recently. Thinking of all whose loved ones are buried here. https://t.co/qRbdJor25a

TUESDAY

*An interesting forecast*
A normal forecast would be me telling you it’s going to be hot and sunny with temperatures touching 30°C and 45° in direct sunlight.
However due to the smoke and fire over #Dovestones, the sunshine is hazy and temperatures aren’t as high ☀️

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

Temperatures have soared today to 29°C which was recorded at 3pm. Spare a thought for the fire crews working in this heat. #heatwave #wildfire

[Saddleworth Weather @Saddyweather]

MONDAY

A cracking morning and a beautiful day ahead. The start of the #heatwave for sure. Temperatures rising until Wednesday. Sunshine all week and into the weekend ☀️
