SAD NEWS: This morning, bandits killed a local farmer, identified as Mansir, while he was working on his farm in Isa LGA of Sokoto State, Nigeria.

The killing adds to growing fears among rural communities, where many farmers now risk their lives simply to cultivate their land. May Allah grant him mercy and accept him among the martyrs.

If farmers can no longer safely work in their fields, who will feed the nation and when will this cycle of violence finally end?

MISSING PERSON: Ahmad, a resident of Musawa town, left for Malumfashi three days ago to have his sewing machine repaired and has not been seen or heard from since.

According to his family, the repair shop confirmed that the sewing machine was repaired and that he left afterward. However, his phone has remained unreachable ever since.

Anyone with credible information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest security authorities.

There is no provision in our laws for substituted arrest, an arrest of a family member, friend or associate of a suspect with no connection whatsoever to the alleged crime. UPDATE: The charity organization behind this appeal has confirmed that, following the public response to the previous post, the 20-year-old widow has been taken back to the hospital after initially being discharged because her family could not afford her treatment.

According to the organization, donations totaling ₦73,400 were received, enabling her return to the hospital. So far, over ₦45,000 has been spent on her medical care, leaving a balance of ₦23,400, while the fundraising effort continues.

The young mother lost her husband to bandit violence and is now caring for an infant. Her parents remain unable to meet the cost of her treatment.
