God walked me out of a tech trap today. Last year, my guy asked me to design the entire branding and UI/UX for his fintech startup. "Bro, we are co-founders, salary will kick in after our pre-seed round." I worked day and night for 8 months. No sleep.

Fast forward to yesterday. I saw a TechCabal article announcing they raised $1.2M in pre-seed. I was grinning, waiting for my email. Nothing. I went to the office they just rented in Lekki Phase 1. The security guy asked for my appointment letter. I laughed.

I called my "co-founder." He came down, looked me in the eye and said: "Bro, the investors demanded a restructured cap table. We had to drop non-essential roles. But I can give you ₦250k for your troubles." ₦250k for an entire ecosystem layout? Fear men.

I forgot to mention that I host the entire Figma project on my personal account, and the developer was using my live tokens. I walked to a cafe, opened my laptop, and deleted the entire master file. The app went completely blank mid-demo with their board members.
