Nigeria has a serious processing problem.
Processing becomes extremely difficult when logistics, security, and power (electricity) are all very expensive.

Take jam-making, for example. We could be making a killing in this sector. Yet fruits go to waste every season simply because there is no reliable electricity to preserve them. Fuel costs eat deeply into overhead, and you have to pay duties at multiple checkpoints when transporting food across states. How do local producers and processors compete with international brands that don’t face these same challenges?

friendship; what a concept man!

my guy loaned his friend part of the money he used to japa a few years ago, now he has paid my guy back. but earlier this year he asked for his help to clear two lexus cars he shipped in, as he didn't have any family or someone he can trust in lagos.

as per his guy, he was happy to help. did all the running around and got the cars out quickly, then was arranging for them to be sent to asaba as directed, only to be told that one of the cars was for him.

mind you, he got married late last year and they are expecting. he used to tell me how pained he was that his wife takes cabs to ante-natal and how he was hoping for a miracle to buy to a car before the baby arrives, as it will make their lives easier.

well, christmas has come early for them. hard guy like me had tears in my eyes, cos this is so thoughtful.

Çünkü arkadaşımızı yazabilmek için tüm hafta sınıfta kim kime iyi davranmış diye dedektif gibi izliyoruz."

Kızım dahil bütün öğrenciler Pazartesi sabahlarını büyük bir heyecanla bekliyor.. Bir kalıbı kırmak için bazen sadece küçük bir çikolataya ve dünyayı çocukların gözünden görebilen bir öğretmene ihtiyaç varmış.

Kızımın öğretmeni, sınıftaki ilişkileri düzeltmek için muazzam bir yöntem bulmuş. Cuma günleri her çocuk, hafta boyu kendisine en iyi davranan arkadaşının adını ve sebebini bir kağıda yazıp kutuya atıyor. Kimse kimsenin notunu görmüyor.

Pazartesi günü öğretmen sonucu açıklıyor. Kimin kaç oy aldığını söylemiyor, sadece haftanın şampiyonuna çikolata veriyor. Bazen şampiyon sayısı ikiye, üçe çıkıyor. Kızım dün akşam "Anne, sınıfta gizli bir rekabet var. Herkes çikolatayı kapmak için birbirine deli gibi iyi davranıyor" dedi. ( devamı 👇)
