Finally, the Arabs have been awakened to reality of Somaliland's independence which it achieved while still many African countries were under the yoke of colonial rule. SL's democracy has become an exemplary to the rest Afr.nations.
A point worth pondering is how faqash corrupted literally every single government institution.
- The Somali Academy of Science and Arts became a maqaaxi to broadcast Darod history to the exclusion of other Somali history.
- The Somali Army became a clan militia under MOD.
etc
Somali Airline had become part and parcel of the parasitic faqash regime and a tool of oppression. Which is why in 1984, our brave SNM soldiers hijacked one of its planes in a daring mission to hasten the release of Isaaq prisoners of thought, including seven high school pupils.
4. As soon as the government campaign against the Isaaq began, Somali Airlines was utilised to ferry fresh troops into the north to carry out the genocide and transport Isaaq civilians to detention centres in the south.
The flight schedule was nonstop day-and-night, imagine!
3. This was Somali Airline's story from '64 till '77, when bankrupt Afweyne applied for loans to buy out the 50% Italian stake.
He put his faqash Marehan cousin Ali Mataan Hashi at the helm, and proceeded to use Somali Airline's fleet in the northern campaign against the Isaaq.
2. The first four Douglas DC-3 planes of Somali Airline, the entire fleet at its inception, were donated by United States Agency for International Aid.
- The planes were sadaqah donated by the US.
- The management was Italian.
- Half of the pilots were Italian.
1. Contrary to what faqash and Kacaan orphans spew, what we know as Somali Airlines was a joint venture between Italy and Somali Republic.
Alitalia (Italy's flag carrier) owned 50% of Somali Airlines, with the remaining 50% owned by the government of Somali Republic.
History 📜
Somalians love to fetishise Somali Airlines as an icon of success and excellence, but much like every other symbol of Kacaan, this is simply propaganda.
It was a struggling business, later becoming a tool in the #IsaaqGenocide.
It wasn't even fully owned by Somalia!
🇺🇸 put a statement urging parties to the war to reconcile in 1988 as Somali Republic airforces were boming cities in than Northern regions of the Republic, now #Somaliland & killed > 250K Isacks while another 300K died of hanger, malaria, injuries & infectious diseases in the 🏕.

@ProfHusseinWar@thebhlub@GeesiSL @Geele_Geedi @TheSovereign13 @true0ptimist You are denying when you say the jury is still out. This is not like choosing something on the menu at a restaurant. It is a historical record. To not use the appropriate word is to deny. When confronted with your own words you loose interest in such a huge & significant topic?

@ProfHusseinWar@thebhlub@GeesiSL @Geele_Geedi @TheSovereign13 @true0ptimist I don’t know the motivations of your hesitancy. I think you will need to wrestle with your demons to justify the blatant denial when you are fully aware of the magnitude of the genocide that took place. #Somaliland#Somalia
@ProfHusseinWar@thebhlub@GeesiSL @Geele_Geedi @TheSovereign13 @true0ptimist Your words in 1996 “The point of the story is that even though I was not from the Isaaq clan, I could not shake off the feeling that there was a concerted program of extermination.” So why is it now you doubt it & deny it when we have mountains of evidence today. Is it political?
@ProfHusseinWar@thebhlub@GeesiSL @Geele_Geedi @TheSovereign13 @true0ptimist Prof you understood using atrocity/genocide is mere semantics & what occurred was genocide way back in 1996. It is sad you deny it now we have documents & videos like #KillAllButTheCrows to confirm a genocide took place. I 💭 what changed in your moral🧭 https://t.co/XV6BP2AlSb
