The Fairchild manufacturing plant in Shiprock employed 1200 people, mostly Navajo women, and became one of Fairchilds most successful plants, with unbelievably low defect rates.
Fairchild even concluded one of their pamphlets with a traditional Navajo chant, Song of the Earth Spirit.
