@CTVBarrieNews People are fed up with union grandstanding and greedy demands at the expense of students' education. It's about time the government gets tough with these bullies.
@BrandonAmyot Unions represent a shrinking proportion of private sector workers. Less than 14% in 2021. Public sector unions represent a growing proportion of over 74% of public sector employees. They benefit the privileged few on government payroll. It's about time govt gets tough.
@BrandonAmyot Parents are frustrated that CUPE use their children as pawns in an attempt to squeeze ridiculous concessions from the government, the cost of which will be borne by the taxpayers.
@BrandonAmyot No. I support the rights of all citizens. Including ensuring provincial governments may invoke the notwithstanding clause, when they deem advisable, as protected by the Charter.
@BrandonAmyot@douglasdowney Based on your graph CUPE is doing them a disservice so not sure why you support them. And if things are so good in the private sector, then they can work there. The job market has never been better!
@KeenanAylwin@douglasdowney @bdlabourcouncil @3987Cupe @osstfd17ewbu @CUPE2380@FairWagesBarrie Parents do not like unions threatening children's education in an attempt to pressure the government into a ridiculous wage increase. Sorry comrades, a lot of Ontarians have the governments back on this one.
